Cissy Reynolds-Perez H-E-B Excellence in Education Principal Award

The Corpus Christi Education Foundation is accepting applications for the 2017 Cissy Reynolds-Perez Scholarship, awarded to a graduating senior from a CCISD high school in May 2017 who attended George Evans Special Emphasis School for at least two (2) consecutive years from 2001 to 2006. Applicants must be graduating from a CCISD high school in May or June 2017, and be enrolling in an accredited American college, university or trade school in Fall 2017. The Corpus Christi Education Foundation is accepting applications for the 2017 CITGO First in Family Scholarship. These awards are for graduating seniors who are the very first in their immediate families to earn a high school diploma. The Corpus Christi Education Foundation is accepting applications for the 2017 Flint Hills Resources Outstanding Scholar Program. The Corpus Christi Education Foundation supports CCISD high school students seeking college credit, and offers scholarships annually for dual credit course fees through Del Mar College. Check back soon for scholarship information for the 2017-2018 school year.

Scholarships for CCISD Employees

Dr. D. Scott Elliff Scholarship

The Corpus Christi Education Foundation is accepting submissions for the Dr. D. Scott Elliff Scholarship. This award is intended to honor and support both CCISD educators, and auxiliary staff who would like to become educators. The award amount is $500, and the deadline to apply is Friday, March 24, 2017.

WHO CAN APPLY?
CCISD teachers and auxiliary employees who have been employed with CCISD for at least three (3) years, and who are seeking financial support for any of the following needs: professional development opportunities, tuition/fees toward coursework or a college degree, and/or fees associated with obtaining a State Teaching Certification.

HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
Candidates must prepare the following documents and submit by the deadline (March 24):
1. Proposal Letter outlining reasons to be considered for ward, and explaining career plans as well as how this award will help (candidate) reach those goals. This letter should be no more than two (2) pages in length, single-spaced and typed.
2. Official Transcript from the college/university where currently enrolled (if applicable) -OR- documentation outlining the benefits of professional development course/class or other reason for applying.
3. Current Resume
4. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
